FAQ

1. What is i.V. therapy?

I.V. Therapy is an alternative to oral supplements. Medical grade electrolyte fluid, vitamins and minerals are introduced into the body through a small sterile IV catheter. These products are custom designed to hydrate when needed, to replace lost electrolytes essential to the human body for the normal function of our cells, muscles, and organs, and to supply essential nutrients (vitamins and minerals) to keep our energy levels up and help the body resist infection.

2. What are the Indications for IV Infusion Therapy?

• Dehydration

• Overindulgence of alcohol resulting in a hangover

• Post Chemo/Radiation Therapy Recovery

• Food Poisoning

• Cold/Flu

• Nausea/Vomiting

• Athletic Exhaustion

• Dietary Supplementation

• Unchecked Diarrhea

  • Chronic Gut Issues

  • Lyme Disease Flare Up

•Premature aging, skin damage, sun burns, thinning hair, & brittle nails

•Improve overall health and well-being

3. How Does the IV Therapy Work?

The direct infusion of electrolytes along with vitamins, minerals and/or anti-oxidants into the blood stream insures the most rapid method of treatment and recovery.

4. Is the IV Infusion Considered a Medical Procedure?

Yes, IV Infusion is a medical procedure.

5. Does The Administration of Enliven Require Licensed Personnel?

Yes.  Since it is an invasive procedure requiring the precise preparation of products and insertion into a vein or by intramuscular injection, the administration of Enliven requires a registered nurse, paramedic, or physician licensed by the state of practice.  We are also monitored for proficiency under our medical director, Dr. Jeff Pinnow.

 6. How long does it take for the drip to finish?

It takes 45 min to an hour depending on the type of drip given.

7. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAKING VITAMINS ORALLY AND IV VITAMINS?

The fastest and most efficient way to introduce virtually any substance into the human circulatory system is not by swallowing it. Pills and liquids take time to absorb into the blood stream by way of the stomach. Only 20-50% of vitamins taken orally are absorbed in the digestive system.

Intravenous (in the vein) is the way to go. Through an IV, 100% of vitamins are absorbed.

8. How soon will you see results from the treatment?

Most people feel positive results by the time they get ready to leave.

9. Do you offer other services?

10. Does Insurance Pay For Enliven?

Payment is required before services are rendered.

At this time, Enliven does not accept any type of insurance.

Generally, most insurance will not pay for nutritional/electrolyte therapy when it is used as an elective means of recovering from alcohol intoxication or athletic activities. However, insurance may approve when used as a prescribed nutritional/electrolyte treatment for diagnosed gastrointestinal, endocrine, and nausea and loss of appetite caused by chemo and radiation therapy.

How do you know if insurance will reimburse your treatment?

Here's how:

1. Client calls insurance for approval of reimbursement

2. Payment is required to Enliven before service rendered

3. Client sends receipt to insurance for approved reimbursement
